HEIDENHAIN Handwheel Case Repairs

Repaired HEIDENHAIN HR 410 handwheel Casing

EEC Ltd were contacted by a long-standing customer requiring a HEIDENHAIN handwheel case repair. The customer reported that the casing of their HEIDENHAIN HR 410 handwheel had started to break apart, and was being held together with tape. Worn out casings are a common issue on the HR 410 handwheels due to the strength of the holder magnets and the tendency of the operator to remove them from the machine by grabbing the cable/connector at the bottom of the unit. Recasing HEIDENHAIN handwheels is a far more cost effective repair then replacing the newer ID numbered units with the HR 510 replacement. For the cost of the re-case kit and a couple of hours of labour, the customer receives a good-as-new handwheel unit for a fraction of the cost of a refurbished HR 510 unit. EEC engineers will always offer the best, and most cost effective solution to any problem.
