EEC are able to supply and install high quality DRO equipment onto existing, legacy machining equipment. In this example, EEC installed a high quality replacement Z axis Acu-Rite SENC 150/48” scale onto a cheap, low-end Chinese DRO display.

The DRO was fitted to a Colchester Triumph 2500 x 50” lathe and was a fully working and reliable, accurate and now reliable upgrade. This proves that compatibility is not an issue when using high-quality Acu-Rite DRO.

The SENC 150 from ACU-RITE is the ideal scale for all applications. The compact and robust design, and the numerous possibilities for mounting, make it ideal for retrofitting. The slight dimensions and high accuracies of this ball-bearing guided encoder, which uses the reflected light method, are ideal prerequisites that can be used in metrology applications.
