EEC Ltd visited one of our customers’ premises to test and inspect 7 DRO systems. These legacy DRO systems are fitted to a range of lathes and mills. 3 machines had faults within the setup, ranging from complete failure of the system, to Z axis scale issues.
High Resolution 2 Axis Acu-Rite DRO & Scales System
EEC Ltd recently installed a 2 Axis Acu-Rite Dro system to a Jones-Shipman 540 surface grinder. The work was for a local high-precision customer, manufacturing to high resolution. The required Resolution was 0.001mm, and this was achieved using a couple of SENC 150 0.001mm scales coupled with a Acu-Rite DRO 203 display.
Obsolete & Faulty Anilam DRO Digital-Readout-Display Replacement
One of our latest visits to a customer. A faulty & obsolete Anilam DRO – digital readout display. EEC worked on-site and replaced the faulty unit with a new Acu-Rite DRO 203 display, still using the original linear scales. Compatibility is key.

Heidenhain DRO ND 760 Repair
We recently carried out repair and refurbishment work on an old Heidenhain DRO ND 760, a 20+ year-old Heidenhain digital readout system installed on a Jones & Shipmen 540 Surface Grinder (first manufactured in World War two, 1941)

Annual DRO Calibration and FAGOR DRO Fault Diagnoses and Repair
EEC Ltd were recently contacted by a longstanding customer in Hampshire, to preform their annual DRO check over and calibration. The DRO maintenance and calibration was successfully carried out on 7 manual Turret Mills.
